2020 is a disaster. The booking was made in 2019 for a holiday home. Approx. 1 month before arrival, you will be informed of the cancellation by email, as the planned program cannot be held. So far not so bad, but it was not mentioned that part of the equipment, as well as part of the site, has been blocked because of refugees. Then the refugees will be better guarded than us. On departure, a final cleaning fee will be charged, but cleaning is done differently. You can spend a whole day cleaning up there. A real disaster this year. Think about reimbursement.

Since I was a preschooler, I went with my parents to the Monbach Valley every second year. Later I continued this tradition with my own children. The family program in combination with the beautiful nature and the relaxed atmosphere are just great. However, the prices were constantly increased, the accommodations hardly renovated, the quality of the meals worse .. shortly the price / performance ratio was no longer correct. For the same hero, much more is offered elsewhere. The leisure home is now also occupied with refugees, half of the valley is cordoned off, security is running everywhere ... No notification beforehand and nothing on the homepage, only requests for donation. Simply outrageous!

Part of the holiday complex was converted into a refugee camp (as of June 2020). Unfortunately we were not informed of this when booking. During Corona times, such information should definitely not be withheld from guests!

Beautiful terrain, always worth a visit.

We wanted to spend a nice weekend here and attend a seminar, but we were disappointed across the board. The double rooms cost around 80 euros, are minimalist and not appealing. The bed in particular is uncomfortable. Everything is more reminiscent of a better youth hostel. The bathroom is reminiscent of a hospital. Rooms are cleaned every few days, see photo. The food is like that in a simple canteen and vegetarians are not always happy. The speakers may be technically good in some cases, but as speakers they were underground due to a lack of ability in rhetoric, methodology and didactics. If a speaker reads a script for 1.5 hours with bowed head, then I can buy a book myself and read it myself. We decided to leave in the morning after the first night. The only thing that should be noted positively: we only had to pay for the night and the food until then. After all, it shows that the guest house is interested in making customers happy. Nevertheless we wasted time and travel costs and paid 140 EUR.

We were here with several families. The rooms are nice and functional. The staff is very nice. The atmosphere is very pleasant. In the cafe you can eat delicious. And the Mohnbachtal offers many opportunities with a children's playground Kneipp pool mini golf and Monbach gorge.

Very quiet and relaxing place.

Nice place to relax. Pure nature. We did not try the inns but the cafe very often. Here are small snacks and delicious cakes. Highly recommended after a walk in Monbachtal here.

Loving Christian hospitality in the land of fairies, elves and trolls. The guesthouse spoils its guests with great cakes and healthy food. Simple but stylishly designed rooms. Impulses for the soul. On request silence. The Monbachtal with its wildly romantic gorge invites you to a little adventure. And again and again admire the fresh green and listen to the song of the birds.

Very nice, it is clean and quiet and the environment is wonderful .. The cafee or the restaurant is good the cake very delicious ..
